“10,000 Steps for 10,000 Students” Event Successfully Held

Phnom Penh: The “10,000 Steps for 10,000 Students” event, under the theme “Run and Walk to Promote Reading and the SOSORO Museum”, was successfully launched at Koh Pich on the morning of May 31, 2026, under the distinguished presidency of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Dr. Hang Chuon Naron.

The event attracted nearly 4,000 participants, including athletes, students, youth, and members of the public, who came together to run and walk in support of reading promotion, and the SOSORO Museum for the benefit of future generations.

Beyond being a health and fitness activity, the event also reflected a shared commitment to advancing education and fostering a stronger reading culture within Cambodian society.

The Organizing Committee would like to express its sincere appreciation to all athletes, participants, partners, volunteers, and donors whose support and participation contributed to the success of the event and to the continued development of educational opportunities for Cambodian children and youth.
