Amret evolves corporate image : personal touch makes the difference

PHNOM PENH (September 19) - Amret, one of Cambodia’s leading microfinance institutions, has launched a campaign to highlight its deep customer relationships and its transparent and trustworthy financial services.

Amret is introducing a revamped logo, new-look branches and a new digital app, ‘’Amret Mobile’’, which will make saving and borrowing even easier for customers, wherever they are.

The campaign kicked off earlier this week with a new television commercial broadcast across the country and on social media that shows an Amret employee visiting a farming family in an idyllic rural setting.

Other TV commercials in the same campaign show Amret employees interacting with small business owners in rural and urban environments - underlining the close working relationships between Amret and its customers and the company’s core mission to support Cambodia’s social and economic development.

The commercials feature an updated version of the famed Amret ‘smile’ logo, which reflects the smiles of its customers, along with Amret’s updated slogan “With you. For you. Always.”

Amret’s new logo is modern and dynamic, incorporating bright yellow and light green colours that align more closely with the colours of Amret’s majority shareholder, Advans, a leading international microfinance group present in 9 countries across the world.

“The brand, the logo and our products and services are evolving with the times, leveraging on new technologies, but the most important things about Amret have not changed,” said Amret CEO Mr. Dos Dinn.

“As we have been in the past 3 decades, we are still totally dedicated to our deep customer relationships, both in the rural and urban areas, with personalised service that treats customers not as numbers on a spreadsheet but as valued members of the Amret family. We also continue to lead the financial services sector in Cambodia with our best-in-class governance, our client protection principles and the transparency and sustainability of our operations,” he added.

As an example of its deep customer relationships, Amret is relying on Mobile Savings Officers (MSO) deployed to the main market areas around the country where they meet Amret customers in person, introduce them to new products and services, and take their deposits at their doorstep, even for very small amounts.

From this month, these MSOs will be able to issue on-the-spot, unsecured small loans to customers who have a history of regular savings without the customer needing to visit a branch. This innovative product will increase the capacity of micro and small business holders, especially female vendors in the nation’s markets, to quickly seize business opportunities or meet unexpected family needs.

To continue delivering on its brand promise to its nearly half a million clients, Amret will be rolling out a series of innovative products and services in the coming weeks, through its network of 1587 branches, field officers and digital channels.
