July 15, 2025 – Amret is proud to continue its partnership with the National Bank of Cambodia and would like to express heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for the valuable initiative of the free exchange program for old, torn, and uncirculated riel notes. This program aims to promote stability and encourage the use of the national currency, the riel.
As a Microfinance Institution, Amret has consistently supported the development of Cambodia’s financial sector. We are pleased to participate in this campaign, which aims to enhance the use of the riel, strengthen the riel system, and expand financial literacy across our national community.
“Exchanging old, torn, and uncirculated riel notes is vital for maintaining the standard of our national currency and increasing the flow of money in and out of circulation. Amret is honored to play a role in promoting the use of the riel in everyday life,” a spokesperson for Amret stated.
At Amret, we are enthusiastic about continuing our involvement in this campaign to foster the use of the riel, support the Bakong system, and promote financial literacy on a broader scale.
With the active participation of both private and public institutions, Amret believes that the development of the Bakong system and the increased use of the riel will serve as a foundation for a sustainable and robust economy in Cambodia.
