Phnom Penh, June 1, 2025 — Amret participated in the launch of a new campaign titled “10,000 Riels, 10,000 People,” aimed at raising funds for Kantha Bopha Hospital to ensure the continued provision of free healthcare services to Cambodian children.

The launch ceremony was held under the esteemed chairmanship of Dr. Pech Chanmon Hun Manet, Honorary President of the Kantha Bopha Foundation. Over the past 32 years, the Kantha Bopha Hospital has examined, cared for, and treated more than 23 million children at no cost. To sustain its operations, the hospital requires over 43 million dollars annually.

Amret was thrilled to contribute to this meaningful campaign by donating 40,000,000 Riels (or 10,000 USD) to the Kantha Bopha Foundation during the event.

About the Project

The annual “10,000 Riels for 10,000 People” campaign by the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation celebrates International Children’s Day on June 1. This initiative aims to inspire the spirit of “Khmer Help Khmer” and to engage the public and philanthropists in efforts to support children receiving treatment at Kantha Bopha Hospital in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

For over 32 years, Kantha Bopha Hospital has been a beacon of hope for countless Cambodian children, providing free medical examinations and treatment services to more than 23 million children across the country.

To maintain its operations, the hospital requires an annual budget of over 43 million dollars to continue helping these children.

The foundation also invites the public to make financial contributions or donate blood to help save more children’s lives.
