Amret Successfully Reaches Milestone of 1,000 Blood Bags Donated to the National Blood Center

Apr 26, 2025

Phnom Penh: As part of its humanitarian mission to contribute to social responsibility and help save lives for patients in need of blood, Amret Microfinance Institution is proud to announce the successful achievement of its campaign "Towards 1,000 Blood Bag Donations to the National Blood Transfusion Center", held on the morning of April 26, 2025, at Amret’s Kampong Chhnang Branch Headquarters. The event welcomed over 200 participants, including Amret employees, members of the public, and local authorities.

Mr. Doss Din, CEO of Amret Microfinance Institution, remarked that this marks the 10th time Amret has organized such a program since its initial launch in 2023. The voluntary blood donation campaign was carried out with the following core objectives:

  1. To raise awareness on the importance of blood donation.
  2. To participate in humanitarian and social activities (as both citizens and an institution) to help save lives.

He further expressed that both Amret staff are deeply proud to have achieved the milestone of donating 1,000 blood bags to the National Blood Transfusion Center on this special occasion. Mr. Doss Din extended his sincere gratitude to all the generous and kind-hearted volunteers whose selfless participation made this meaningful humanitarian achievement possible. Without their involvement, this milestone could not have been reached. Amret pledges to continue organizing blood donation activities in the years ahead, to help save lives and contribute to maintaining an adequate national blood supply for hospitals across the country.

Mr. Sok Po, Head of the National Blood Transfusion Center, shared that blood donation offers many benefits such as improving personal health monitoring, reducing excess iron levels in the body, stimulating the production of new blood, and ultimately contributing to better health. Most importantly, the donated blood will save patients’ lives and help ensure the blood stock remains sufficient for other patients in need.

His Excellency Yin Savoeun, Deputy Governor of Kampong Chhnang Provincial Administration, who was present at the event, expressed gratitude and admiration for the generosity and humanitarian spirit shown by Amret Microfinance Institution, its employees, and the National Blood Transfusion Center in successfully organizing this remarkable initiative. He highlighted that such blood donation campaigns are noble and meaningful acts of charity that everyone should continue supporting as part of their social and humanitarian contributions.
