Amret Cancels $51,789 in Debt and Provides Additional Assistance to Families of Fallen Soldiers

Jul 31, 2025

Phnom Penh, July 31, 2025 – In a spirit of national solidarity with the Royal Government of Cambodia and its citizens, Amret has announced the complete cancellation of $51,789 in debt owed by two customers—soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to protect Cambodia's territorial integrity.

In addition to canceling the debt, Amret will provide 5 million riels (approximately $1,250) in financial assistance to each family, helping to ease their financial burden. The families, currently residing in Tbong Khmum and Siem Reap provinces, have lost significant family members while serving to protect the security and sovereignty of the nation.

"During this difficult time, we, the leadership and staff of Amret, wish to express our deepest condolences to the families of the two soldiers. We honor the great sacrifices and bravery of all soldiers," stated an Amret representative.

This initiative underscores Amret’s commitment to social responsibility and support for the armed forces and the families of soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
