International Visiting Program (IVP)
Being an experienced and leading microfinance institution in Cambodia, Amret has been visited by more and more international guests. This is the reason inspiring Amret to launch a new program called International Visiting Program (IVP) in 2004 aiming to welcome visitors from similar sectors abroad, like microfinance institutions, rural banks, and any other kinds of financial institutions, who are seeking to exchange their experience and knowledge of financing practice. Visitors will be guided to observe the real working activity in the office and the field as well. We are also willing to provide them with our strategies, techniques, consultancy, and other miscellaneous benefits once they should spend their valuable time visiting any branch of Microfinance Institution "Amret". The specific content of each visit can be customized in accordance with visitors' needs.
Office Visit Among our 47 branches, visitors will be introduced to the branch structuring and other skills of management. We will transparently demonstrate the procedures which have been used as a tool for Amret to become a nationwide leading microfinance institution. All visitors will comprehend the whole process of our products: financing, saving, and money transfer. Presentations will be conducted to enhance the understanding of visitors towards Amret.
Field Visit Since the establishment of Amret, which is originally a French NGO called GRET, village banks have been formed in each village in the operational zone: 14 provinces and cities. So far, 4,895 villages have already been served by Amret. We are also trying to expand our operational zone continuously so as to satiate more citizens' financial needs. Amret's IVP will enable visitors to see the process of practicing our financing products, and they will gain various techniques from our institution.
